Born in June 1948, Azelarab Kaghat is an actor. He is considered an emblematic figure of Moroccan cinema, theatre, and TV. He was honoured for his work in several festivals like the International Festival of Casablanca and the National Forum of Amateur Cinema. Azelarab Kaghat is the brother of the late veteran playwright Mohamed Kaghat. He became known internationally for his role in Absurdistan (2008). He also acted in Moussem Lamchaoucha Mchaouchi (2009) by Mohamed Bensouda, and in Tanjaoui (2013) by Moumen Smihi. He also played a role in The Search Of The Lost Power (2017) by Mohamed Bensouda, for which he was awarded the best actor prize at the Malmo Arab Film Festival. He has participated in many Moroccan TV Series such as The Guest of Darkness by Ibrahim Shoukry, The Stranger by Laila Triki, The Octopus by Mohamed Aksaib.
